Flaky ham and cheddar pockets cooked golden and melty in minutes with an air fryer. Simple, quick, and delicious.

# The Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 medium flour tortillas (approximately 20 cm each)
02 - 8 slices deli ham
03 - 240 grams shredded cheddar jack cheese
04 - 15 grams butter, softened

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Stack tortillas on a microwave-safe plate, cover with a damp paper towel, and microwave for 20 seconds until soft and pliable.
02 - Chop ham slices into small bite-sized pieces to ensure even distribution within the pockets.
03 - Place approximately 60 grams of cheese in the centre of each tortilla, layer with chopped ham, and top with a light sprinkle of additional cheese.
04 - Fold the edges of each tortilla inward, then fold in half to fully enclose the filling. Press the edges firmly to seal.
05 - Set air fryer to 193°C and allow to preheat for 3 minutes.
06 - Brush the tops of the filled pockets with softened butter and sprinkle extra cheese over the surface, pressing gently to help adhere.
07 - Transfer pockets seam-side down into the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes, checking midway to ensure even browning.
08 - Carefully remove pockets from the air fryer and let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving, as the filling will be hot.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Warming tortillas before folding helps prevent cracking.
02 - Firmly press cheese topping into butter to prevent it from dislodging during air frying.
03 - Prepared pockets may be frozen for up to 3 months; reheat from frozen as desired.
04 - Cooking times may vary depending on air fryer model.
05 - For oven preparation, bake at 204°C for 12–15 minutes if air fryer is unavailable.
