# The Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Crust

01 - 3 cups all-purpose flour, divided
02 - 2/3 cup powdered sugar
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

→ Lime Filling

05 - 3 cups granulated sugar
06 - 3 tablespoons lime zest (about 3-4 limes)
07 - 1 cup fresh lime juice
08 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (remaining half cup)
09 - 8 large eggs, room temperature
10 - 6 drops green food coloring (optional)
11 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease with nonstick spray. In a bowl, sift together 2 1/2 cups flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add melted butter and stir until well combined. Press dough evenly into pan using the bottom of a measuring cup.
02 - Bake crust for about 20 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside.
03 - In a food processor or stand mixer, combine granulated sugar and lime zest; mix until zest is fully incorporated. Add remaining 1/2 cup flour and pulse again to combine. Mix in lime juice, eggs, and green food coloring until mixture is smooth.
04 - Pour filling evenly over baked crust. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, rotating pan halfway through. The bars are done when the center no longer jiggles.
05 - Allow bars to cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
06 - Dust bars with powdered sugar before slicing into 16 pieces. Optionally, garnish with additional lime zest. Enjoy chilled.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Ensure eggs are at room temperature for optimal filling texture. Avoid overbaking to prevent dryness.
