Heat olive oil and melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season cod with salt and pepper, then sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove cod and set aside.

Add cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes until blistered and softened.

Reduce heat to medium, stir in garlic and red pepper flakes, then sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in chicken broth (or chosen liquid) and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3 minutes, then stir in lemon juice and an additional tablespoon of butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Return cod to the skillet, sprinkle parsley and basil over the top, and warm briefly before serving.
