Place tart on the baking sheet and bake for approximately 40 minutes until edges and apples turn golden and juices caramelize slightly. Some burning on parchment is acceptable for flavor.

Transfer tart carefully to a serving plate using a metal spatula. Warm fig preserves in the microwave for 30 seconds until fluid, then brush evenly over the tart top. Serve warm or at room temperature.
