Halloween Mummy Dogs Treat (Printer-Friendly)

Golden dough-wrapped hot dogs with playful candy eyes make a festive and simple mealtime favorite.

# The Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Meat

01 - 10 hot dogs

→ Dough

02 - 1 sheet crescent roll dough

→ Condiments & Decorations

03 - 1 teaspoon ketchup
04 - 20 candy eyes
05 - Favorite dipping sauce, to serve

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - Pat the hot dogs dry using paper towels and set aside.
03 - Roll out the crescent dough and slice into 1/4 inch wide strips.
04 - Wrap each hot dog with strips of dough, gently stretching as you wrap. Leave space for eyes to be placed later and ensure seams are on the underside to secure the dough.
05 - Place wrapped hot dogs seam side down on the prepared sheet tray. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until the dough turns golden brown and the hot dogs are heated through.
06 - Let the wrapped hot dogs cool for 5 minutes. Then, affix candy eyes by dabbing a small amount of ketchup on the back of each eye and placing them onto the dough.
07 - Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Candies eyes are optional; alternatively, mustard or mayonnaise can be used for eyes. Crescent roll sheets work best but regular crescent rolls may be used if perforations are fully sealed. This dish can be doubled easily and the mummy dogs can be frozen for later use.
