Place uncooked long grain white rice in the bottom of the slow cooker.

In a small bowl, combine chicken broth, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, onion powder, dried thyme, dried parsley, ground turmeric, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the seasoned liquid mixture evenly over the rice in the slow cooker.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken breasts for 2 to 3 minutes per side until lightly golden.

Place the seared chicken breasts on top of the rice and liquid mixture.

Cover and cook on high heat for 4 to 6 hours until chicken is fully cooked and rice is tender.

Stir the rice gently before serving. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley if desired.
