Set the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.

In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, pitted cherries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, lemon zest, ground cinnamon, and salt. Toss gently to evenly coat the fruit mixture. Transfer into a large cast iron skillet or a 9x13-inch baking dish.
03 -
In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Incorporate the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs with some lumps of butter remaining. Stir in rolled oats and sliced almonds evenly.
04 -
Evenly distribute the oat-almond topping over the prepared fruit filling in the baking dish.
05 -
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Allow to cool at least 15 minutes before serving to set the filling.
