Halve the acorn squash, remove seeds, then slice into 1-inch thick wedges. Arrange wedges on the prepared baking sheet.

Combine maple syrup, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl, whisking until smooth.

Brush the maple glaze generously over both sides of each squash wedge.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping wedges once halfway through, until tender and golden brown.

Remove from oven and serve warm, drizzling any remaining glaze from the pan over the squash wedges.
